It certainly is effective!

I was partially kidding, too. What I said is very true, but I was intentionally overreacting. No hard feelings? _________________ Interested in showcasing your special effects or learning some new ones from the masters? Check out PSFX! |

Very nicely done. I use a very similar method for planets but I rarely use other's textures I usually make them from scratch. Textures are a lot more readily available online now then when I started out. I find though that space scenes get tiresome after a while, I never had the interest to create as complex an image as that. I am just not fascinated by space. To tell you the truth I haven't really been a photoshop guy now for like 3 - 4 years, heh. I was most into it during the 5.5 era or so. Wastedyouth.org and phong.com used to be some of my fav sites but now all my communities are dead. CS2 is pretty good so I have sort of gotten back into it.
The best tablets by far in my opinion are WACOM's tablets such as the intuos. I wish I could justify buying one, but I cannot.

Again really nice work, if only more people would actually spend the time on an image to make it great instead of just passably good (looks in mirror) and actually do some brushwork and artistic work instead of just lens flaring us to death. |

Wait a second, where in New Brunswick do you live, Shadow? I live in Amherst right now, but just for the summer (summer job here). I just noticed that you were from my neck of the woods. |
