|

Hi folks, I have been getting an error when trying to create web pages through photoshop 7. Templates missing error... Anyway, I tried to uninstall photoshop and reinstall but when I do the set up process gets stuck at 99 percent the disappears. I also recently received elements which encounters the same 99 percent problem... Any ideas what to do about this? Is there a hidden file that i have to delete ot may be missing that isnt allowing me to install these programs? PS.... i have only been having probs installing photoshop. All other programs have been installed hassle free.
Thanks in advance. Tech info: running windows xp |

So, did you fully un-install photoshop from your computer via, start-control panel-add/remove programs- remove photoshop? _________________ www.jerseyhacker.co.uk

Do a search on your entire computer using *photoshop
Delete what ever it comes up with. Restart your computer and try reinstalling it. Sometimes Windows forgets to remove everything, and then it causes problems later on. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |

and if that doesnt work, maybe you could download the 30 day trial of photoshop 7, and then activate it using your cd key? _________________ www.jerseyhacker.co.uk

I would browse to the folder in which PS will install, and remove everything there.
Also, I thought that reg keys were the last thing created when installing aprogram, in which case that could easily be it. I could be wrong on that, I'm no expert. You could try removing photoshop's registry keys.
And make sure you don't have any other adobe products running. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

I've had problems installing programs before, come to find out it was my antivirus. Just did it to certain programs, would let them get to about 90 or 99 percent done then just *POOF*! Gone with the wind. I disabled my AV and reinstalled and it went as smooth as a babies bottom.... I've run into the same thing with my firewall, as I believe my FW killed the program when it tried to create a shortcut on my desktop and/or when it tried to connect to the internet to register the program(s). Try dissabling your AV and your FW, but I'd dissconnect from the internet first. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |
