I recently bought Myst 3: Exile and thought it would be cool if I could stitch some screenshots together to make a wallpaper for myself.

Each screenshot is 640 x 360 pixels, I wanted the wallpaper to work well at 1280 x 1024 resolution, so I think I'd have to have a grid of two images across, probably two vertical.

Myst uses pre-rendered graphics during gameplay, which the player can look around at much like a quicktime immersion. if you've ever seen a quicktime immersion, you'll have noticed that things sometimes look like they're being viewed through a fish-eye lens at the edge of the imsge. this presents a problem when trying to ststch the pics together because they can't match up nicely. What's vertical in one shot is not vertical in the one beside it. objects increase in size as they move toward the edge of the image.

if anyone knows how it coud be possible to overcome these perspective problems, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

or you could try this.... in this teaching - just replace the word "scans" with the word"photos" it works for both as they are the same thing.
