I am try tis tutorial http://www.good-tutorials.com/track/9253 about embedded metallic text and I have gotton all the way to select your text layer again and then cut (cntrl+X). Now i got to select text, but i can't cut it, everytime i hit the cntrl+x, it justs switches my foreground and background default colors back and forth on the toolbar. I am Using CS2 9.0 and I really need help,plus it also says to make your text invisble, need help with that also, I am A newbie so please be as detailed as you can. Thank you so much for your help
that's a poorly written tut. I think what he wants you to do is ctrl-click on the text layer again. he doesn't mean the one with the gradient, he means the one that you actually typed on.
as for the ctrl-x bit, x switches the colours, ctrl-x cuts. maybe your ctrl key is faulty, and you're essentially just pressing x. to get around the problem just use edit > cut. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth
