Hi
I'm new here so would be greatful of some help. I've been learning a bit about Photoshop 7 and am getting along ok so far but I've come across a problem I can't seem to solve. I am trying to remove the glare from the reflection of a flash on people's glasses. I have looked into it and the only info I can find is about it being 'specular white'. Is this correct and what can I do to remove it from my picture please.

If you're taking the pictures yourself, try using a bounce flash. If you don't know what that is, or your flash won't let you do that, then take a photo of them with their glasses on, then again without their glasses. Take their eyes from the shot w/out their glasses and put them on the one with them. If their head position is the same, then it'll be no problem.
If you're not taking the photos, use the rubber stamp (clone) tool, and the lasso tool to replace the eyes. Take the parts that don't have glare and copy & paste them to cover the glare. Biggest thing is to do it without having it look fake.

That would work, but it would take a long time and be a pain! i wonder if there is any quicker way to do it.

Hmmm....I dunno--I can do it in a few minutes. Once you do it a few times, it's actually quite easy. In this photo below, I've actually replaced her eyes with eyes from a differet photo. She squinted a lot when she smiled, so I made her not smile for the shot I did with her glasses off. It took me less than 3 minutes to replace the eyes.

Thanks, I can see what you mean but unfortunately my picture is a group shot and its not easy to replace the eyes as you have done. Also, I do not have one without glasses that I can use to take bits from. Any other suggestions would be gratefully received though.

Resort to copy and pasting their eyes then. Lasso the part of the eye that doesn't have glare on it, then copy, paste and use transform to rotate it to fill in and/or cover the glare that is on the eyeball. Do the same for covering up the glare that is on the eyelids, eyebrows and eyesockets. It's a pain, but it'll work. Also, you could find another person in the group that has the same color eyes and just use their eyes to cover up the glare. If there's a lot of people in the group shot, and the picture was taken from a distance away, then it might be hard to notice if those are their own eyes or someone else's.
