I have a logo that is mine. It has a white background with text pn top and the side and clip art of a stingray with his tail wrapped around part of some bottom text.
I need to use this for some photo borders that I am making and need to make the background transparent. How do I do that?
Thanks,
Cindy |

Make a new layer, and in the layers pallete, put it below all the other layers _________________ www.jerseyhacker.co.uk

I would do it this way, double click on the layers palette image of your logo, a box will open up click yes (that unlocks the background layer ie your logo) next use the magic wand tool to select the white background and just hit delete, that will leave you with a sort of check background (this means that area is transparent) if you want to save it you'll have to save as a PSD file if you want to keep the transparent area, if you save as a JPEG it will turn white again.
