Hi

Im not a graphics person but a web-developer. I just need to do some small grapchics on my own.

I have a bmp file file that I've taken from the web. There is some text on it. IS there anyway to figure out the font used so that I can use that same font in PS and add some text ?

Thanks

Do I have to scroll all the fonts in font-finder and check one by one if the font in the bmp image matches the one in font-finder ?

Is there no way in PS to somehow 'auto-detect' or something ?

Thanks

Is the text it's own layer? If it is, then you can click on it with the text tool, and (as long as you have that exact font on your computer) it'll let you edit it and will display it's name. If you can't click on it, then, well, have fun searching for it. I've never heard of an "auto detect" for fonts. Mad

On htting F7 -> Layers, it shows background only. Guess just one layer.

.bmp does not support layers.

If it were me, I'd remove the text and re-do it. Then you'll know what font you used, hopefully Big Grin
