Does anyone have an answer to image not displaying in CS2 workspace. Image shows in layers palette and navigator and bridge. Colour picker indicates image is way left off screen.

I'll answer my own question. I since discovered that on opening CS2, hold down shift, ctrl and alt and a dialog box appears asking if you want to delet the data folder - hit yes. When PS reboots it resets the prefernces to default. Works on version 7 as well.
