Look at the characters in that. They don't look like ordinary cartoon characters. They look like they have been cut out of cardboard or something. How can I acheive this in Photoshop? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The poster was most likely made with a vector program like Illustrator. The lines are mathematical equations not pixels so them make perfect lines and angles and keep the perfect look regardless of size..unlike pixels that distort if enlarged to much,...The look can be mimiced in PS but its not the same...
