First post to these forum so hi guys and girls.
I am looking for a tutorial that will show me how to create those superb aqua style buttons that Apple use on their website. I have the book "Photoshop 6 Down & Dirty Tricks" but the ones in there just don't look that professional when finished and I follow the tutorials to the letter.
Please take a quick look at the link below, where I have put 3 buttons for you to look at, I simply cut/paste these from a couple of sites and it is the red one that I am trying to replicate, though the blue Apple one is nice to.

Thanks guys. |

hey there!
looks like you could use this link! search in the buttons
category, there are definetly tons aqua buttons there:

on second thought, here's how i think they are done:
take the round rectangle tool!
right click and choose "make selection"
fill it with a color you like!
create new layer!
take the rounded rectangle tool again and make smaller selection
on top of your red!
fill with white
go to filter<blur< gausian blur! and use 4,5
lower opacity of your layer, 71 procent or so!
select the layer with the red on and go to layer styles!
select inner shadow with these settings, Distance: 0 Size 8
take the rectangular marquee tool and cut of the lowest part of your button so that the bottom is a streaght line! do the same on the layer with your white in!
évoila! |
