I found this tut here
http://www.idigitalemotion.com/tutorials/max/abstractrender/abstractrender.html
So beinginquisitive I started playing around with it.
Very simple once I got the hang of it.
Open 3d max
create Geosphere
add noise as perscribed
duplicate model 6-7 times
group
Twist
Render images at different camera angles.
Open images in PS on layers.
manipulate to your hearts content
I could have masked the images better I suppose, but it's just an example

hey that's pretty nice!
with some brushing effects on it, it might turn into a real artwork,
lol here are some of my try's i like the cloudy semi-transparant thing
but i wish the polys where spread out a lil more!
I downloaded a trial version of 3d studio max a while ago, and decided that
it was difficult! But i think i'll give it a try sometime in the future!
i'm currently working with lightwave, because it's easy to learn i guess
I wish someone would give me a though project on 3d imaging , i would
learn soon i think! that's the way i learned photoshop, i still remember how
suprised i was when i found out about the magic of layers
ohoh i went oftopic
