Ok here is the think, blind old bat am i and I always use 800x600
but lots of graphics programmes and dreamweaver too are much easier to use in 1280x1024.
which is fine with a magnifying glass.
but I am kinda stuck as to how to get my web sites that are designed for 800x600 to center when seen on a higher res, now this is fine with forum boards cos they span, but htm is ok when i have used layout cells in DW, but I am stumped as to how to do it with layers, which I use a lot to overlay gifs etc.
anyone got any ideas? even when i have part layout table and part layers, it is easy to center the main layout table, but anything in a layer stays put?
and when i try to center the layers individually ...........well dont ask complete mess. _________________ "Bugger destiny" said Nanny Ogg " lets go out and curse someone!!"

well i run dual monitors and i run my main monitor at 1024x768 because it is easier to use most websites and i can fit plenty of stuff on it, also i run a 800x600 so i hvae room for my tools with such programs as flash and photoshop and pretty much any other program, also i can make sure a website is 800x600 and run Trillian on that monitor _________________ http://i337m1k3.deviantart.com for my ART Profile. |

I prefer 2304 x 864 (dual monitors at 1152 x 864). 1280 x 1024 just is too fine of a resolution for me since I am mostly blind myself. 1024 x 768 is just a tad too small of an area for my 3D animation/modeling, which likes to eat up most my time.
It just all depends on what you're doing the most i guess. |

which is fine, until you want to overlay something, thats where the problems start, means i have to make them as whole gifs, then they get bigger and still dont look right, ah well. _________________ "Bugger destiny" said Nanny Ogg " lets go out and curse someone!!"

I design down for 800x600 but make sure my designs look okay in 1024x768 as well. I think the vast majority (almost 50%) still have 800x600 with 1024x768 right behind with about 25% _________________ Brandon Eley - I actually used Photoshop 2.0!

i thort it depends on your graphic card on which resolution you have, im using 1280*1024 which is fine on my pc, but if i use that settin on another old pc it looks "messed up" . _________________ Pro Designs ||||||||||||||||||
