Hi. Hope this hasn't been addressed before. I searched around but didn't see anything that really helped me.
I am trying to take a photo and create a fade/blend effect of the edges, but in the shape of an oval. I have used a mask and a radial gradient, but since the picture is not square (it is of a tall, thin building), this causes some pretty bad results on the short edges, where the fading doesn't go anywhere near far enough. I also tried to just cut out/select an oval and use feathering to get the edges to all fade out, but it turned out even worse.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to do for the fading effect when not using a circle? |
