Hey all,

This is a question for all of you out there who have to work behind a network and administrator priviliges. I have recently got my copy of CS2 and would love to be able to use it at work, the only problem is that unfortunately I do not have sufficient rights to install programs that edit the registry.

I was wondering is there anyway that I could get the program to run or install without these priviliges. I know that with previous versions of photoshop you could just copy across the installed folder and it will run but from version 7 and up this does not seem to work.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Ionize

I don't think theres any way CS2 will run without reg entries (I could be wrong) Why not just ask whoever has access to allow you to install? even if you could install without any reg install the people who maintain your PC's will soon notice you have added software. Wayne

Ionize, your profile says you're a computer technician. What is a computer technician going to do with Photoshop at work? Big Wink

I know what most computer technicians do, because guess what, I am that famous network administrator who tries to lock out users like you. :P

We do that for a reason, not because of some power trip, but because we have a responsibility towards managment that wants to avoid any illegal use of software or that employees spend the company's time (=money) on activities that are in no way related to their duties.
I'm 100% sure that if your company wants you to use Photoshop that they will give you all the rights do to so. :)
