|
|
Hi, I'm sure this is a real dumb question but seeing as I'm completely new to photoshop i'd appreciate the help anyway.
All I'm doing is using the shadow/highlight command to brighten the face area in my kids (jpeg) photos. This works great but what it has done is to increase the file size from around 1mb to 1.80mb.
I believe that the compression rate in the save as box was maximum.
All I really want to do is get the increased brightness into the photo and save it ie an exact copy but with the better highlights
I'm worried that these changes and increased file size will affect picture quality. I just want to overwrite the existing file so which file save settings should I choose?
Many thanks |

I understand that now but what I dont understand is why setting to 12 in the jpeg save as box would significantly increase the file size when jpeg is supposed to a compression thing?????? |
