hi im fairly new to photoshop n such and was wondering how people make images like the one below
any help to point me in the right direction is appreciated.

you can do that with the transform tool, you can either go to edit> transform> skew, and drag the handles of the part of you image that you want to go in the depth! drag the handles toghether a little and meaby a little up, can also select free transform an press ctrl while you click on the handles and drag, or you can select the marquee tool and right click and choose free transform and press ctrl and drag! these will all have the same effect: "skew"
