How to I create a monochrome bmp in photoshop ? I have a logo I use for my business that has a white back ground, blue image and red letters. I have a screen saver that is asking for a black and white monochrome bmp.
I am using photoshop cs and only have a photoshop 5 book which isnt telling a whole lot other than checking monochrome under the channel mixer, but it still isnt working correctly so obviously I am doing something wrong.
any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. |

I did that and saved as a bmp, but when I tried to import the logo it still is giving me the same message This bitmap must be a black and white monochrome bitmap. This is really crazy over a screensaver but now it has become a challenge to figure out what I am doing wrong. |

Try converting the image to Grayscale (Image>Mode>Grayscale) then saving as 8-bit bmp.
If that doesn’t work, try converting your Grayscale image to Bitmap (Image>Mode>Bitmap) then saving as a 1-bit bmp. Be aware that a 1-bit file has only black or white pixels, no shades of gray. |

That worked thank you so very much, now I just need to play with the logo some. |
