|
|
HI All,
I have posted this on other forums but no solution as yet.
I installed (and removed and re-installed) CS2 many times in the past 2 weeks trying to get it to work. It installs and runs but when I open a file and then minimize it and reopen it I get the following error message>
"Photoshop has encountered an error and needs to close"
I am at a loss of how to fix this. I am running CS on this computer as well and it rund fine. Also, CS2 runs fine on my laptop.
Here is some info about my computer:
XP Pro
2 Internal HD's 1 external HD
Dual Monitors
1 gig RAM
All other programs run fine. I removed Norton and installed without any anti virus programs, spyware etc. running.
There is obviously a conflict someplace but I just don't have any more ideas.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Patrick,
Thanks for your reply - but I already went through that troubleshooter.
However, the good news is that I am pretty sure I fixed the problem. I had read elsewhere about a problem (although not the same as mine) and possible solution.
It had to do with the user account. So, I simply made a new user account and the problem is resolved. Now, I have to add a few things to that account but worse case it is at least a work around by using an other user account.
