hi everyone, this is my first post here! heheh
im just wondering what u all think of this, its a Sin City Type thingy, im only 17, and have been using Photoshop on-and-off for about 9months

Not bad, but that's a hell of a nasty halo. Were you heavily feathering your selection, or something? You might also want to tone down the amount of Add Noise you used on yourself. A little bit would add to the feel of the picture, but I think you went overboard.
As for your age, from the content and style of stuff posted, I get the impression that most of the users here are in that age group.

That's why I like this this site. I'm no spring chicken but the fresh design ideas that are on this site are really inspirering.
