Somehow my color picker has stopped giving me the slider with the full range of colors, and is instead just allowing me to peruse a few colors at a time. It is still in Adobe mode, not Windows mode. I can still access the full spectrum, but have been using PS for 8 years with the same setup. this is seriously decreasing my productivity. Can anyone help? I'm using PS 7. Please it's driving me crazy.

Is "Only Web Colors" checked?

Nope. That just cuts out the gradient blends within the palette and gives me the even hex values. The slider still remains within a certian color hue.

Ah... Check the "H" radio button at the top?

Glad to help.
Each radio button (H,S B and R,G,B and L,a,b) in the Color Picker offers a different way (yet full range) to select colors. But I’m with you, I like the “Hue” button UI best.
