A common mistake in design is trapping spaces or graphic elements between other elements. Here, the design feels claustrophobic because the name is trapped between the graphics, which act like bookends. Try opening it up at one side to let it breathe a little.

Also, the choice of a dull gray for the name makes it recede. What my eye goes to on first glance is the bright blue computer screen at the right side, which is not what you want. Do you know how to do chrome effects in Photoshop? Maybe make the the name a bright, shiny chrome to have it jump out.

Also, cropping is your friend. Don't be scared to make the pictures or even the name too big to fit in the banner, as long as you show enough that they're recognisable.
