Hello, I am an advanced photoshop user running MAC OSX 10.3.8 but have ran into a problem I have never seen before. I can not save for web in photoshop, I have to jump to image ready and save optimized as.
the error message i am receiving appears after I select the final destination folder and states. "could not complete this operation the file was not found."
I tried reinstallin the software twice and still have the same problem.
If anyone can shed some light I would really appreciate it.
thanks. |

Have you tried trashing your Adobe SFW preferences?
(Home>Library>Preferences>Adobe Save For Web 8.0 Prefs)
As you probably know, reinstalling will use pre-existing prefs. |

i deleted both photoshop and image ready save for web preference files and the problem still persists. would I need to re-install the software again? |

No.
Try trashing Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.LaunchServices.plist and then restart.
And if that doesn’t work,
try editing your Select Browser Menu in the lower right of the SFW dialog window (just to the left of the “Edit in Imageready” Button) to include Firefox. (don’t ask me why…..) |

ok,
i do not have com.apple.LaunchServices.plist in this location.
when I am in the SWF dialog window, there is a globe with a question mark on it. it is the preview in default browswer buttton. when i click on it i get the same error message as before. |
