Can anyone tell me how Loretta Lux achieves her fantastic effects with photoshop? (I realize some it is her painting).

lots of that is a lot of photo correction tutorials and stuff she has figured out how to do herself. |

Photoshop doesn't make you a good photographer and as for the effect; some of it was done at photography level and two things I can think of is proper lighting (lack of harsh contrast) and 'compatible' backgrounds. |

Actually I was reading an article about her last month.. and it appears that she was a painter for a number of years and just recently got into photography. She actually uses her paintings for the backgrounds to her pictures. that is why they have the surreal look to them. she is just amazing. |
