Lads...
Im trying to get an effect in Photoshop 7 where the line stoke is like a brush stroke. I mean with regards to pressure (ie when you draw a line it thins out at the end of the line...like a brush stroke in reality)
I have a photo and i want to create that drawing in a few strokes making it looking free flowing etc...

Any tips on how to achieve the effect effectivly is very much appreicated.

My mate told me to do this:
divide your image up into various paths. click on the path window, goto the traingley button (options) on the top right hand side of that palette, and select Stroke Path (after previously deciding what stoke width/brush effect you desire) and then click the "simulate pressure button".
this gives a simplistic version of the effect you're looking for (short of a Wacom Pad) but is kinda handy. for a more natural/organic feel, divide your pathss into shorter strokes, otherwise every long stroke will seem to taper mechanically from start to end.

But i fell into problems...here's what i have done:
But i was wondering about the advice you gave ie photoshop last night :-)
"divide your image up into various paths".iecreate several paths for the image

"click on the path window, goto the traingley button (options) on the
top right hand side of that palette, and select Stroke Path" ...theres
only "stroke subpath" there...

(after previously deciding what stoke width/brush effect you desire)
and then click the "simulate pressure button".....i cant see these
list of options.

Basically what I have done is to try the idea out in a simplified version:
Open New Page-
Click Paths on the Layers Tab Menu-
Click Pen on the main Toolbar-
Create New path-Draw Path onto layer-
then I hit triangle and this is where Im
stuck...

Anyone?!Please help!!
