Could anyone recommend something for starting a webpage with PHP? specifically the interface? I can find multitudes of scripts I just don't know where to start. Thanks for your help.

try www.phpbbforfrre.com. thats what i am making a forum in. it is a seperate web site thats free and you can get idead on how to run things from there |

i usually have been using phpbbforfree.com and it is a great site, but i cant import or change the sklins on the database because it's shared.(they do have hundred of skins, all amazing). now i want the site with my skin and am making my own forum. its supspose to be easy. download phpbb, and then set ip from there. |

nothing like the good ol' fashion hand coding method of learning... well imho :p
oh sorry, recommendations - php.net
As for the interface, draw it up on PS and then put it together using PHP.
A templating system.. 
A good google search for template+PHP will help a great deal.

i downloaded on of the interfaces, opened it up in arachnophilia, and just changed color, images and the such to my liking ;() |
