I have a license for adobe PS 7. I also have one for CS upgrade. My question is this:
I experiment on my computer all the time, and lots of times I have to reformat and install my software again. Everytime I re-install CS, I have to insert my ver 7 cd. Is there a way of avoiding this step? Is there a code or DOS command I can use? It's not a major problem, I'm only trying to streamline things when I re-install.

Why do you have to insert your photoshop 7 CD? They are seperate programs, you don't upgrade from one to the other.
Does it give a particuliar message?

Hi, and thanks for the welcome!
Your question: "Does it give a particuliar message?" Well yes it does. Because my CS is an upgrade, I have to have to in some way prove that I am indeed upgrading. After all an upgrade is had at a reduced cost for the user. So, CS will ask "do you want to check for and older version on the HD" or insert the CD from an older version".
Being that I am installing CS from scratch, I have to insert the CD, since I dont have Ver 7 installed.
I hope now you understand. I know there are ways to have upgrade software not to check for an okder ver.

What you're talking about is actually something considered illegal.
When you eliminate the need to check for the previous version when you install a new upgrade-version, you're actually breaching the security Adobe added to make sure noone buys the cheaper upgrade without having had the older version.
