I open a folder of pictures (Photoshop app not launched) and go to delete a file. Instead of letting me dump it to the recycle bin I get a message that says
Error deleting file or folder.
"Cannot delete pachys904a: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again."
OK [button]
To the best of my knowledge the file is NOT being used anywhere else. It is two layers, unflattened, and size is 11MB! Wow! I'm using ver 6.0 and Win XP.
Any help would be appreciated!

There are several possibilitys, try changing the file name first (if you can) or try shutting down the pc and restarting then try to delete. Is it just the one file or the folder you are trying to delete? there may be a hidden file in the folder. Did you try moving the file first? sometimes they can leave a part behind when you move and then it wont delete. Wayne |

Shutting down and restarting fixed the problem without any other action. Thanks again!
