New to the boards here :) Quick question. How do I create a layer which has text in it and then add a picture as the fill for the text? Would I use a mask layer or something? Thanks!

OK I think I am on the right track. I selected Horizontal Mask Type Tool and have the moving dotted-line-text over the layer I want to use as the fill. What comes next??

Well I just used the type mask tool with a selected text over a background image, then copy and pasted into a new document :)

Yep that's satin. I just threw that together really quicky. I was going to use Crillee font but I didn't have it on my computer. If anyone has it, please let me know :) So you don't like it, what do you suggest then?

You may want to explore clipping paths to achieve the effect you were looking for. This will keep your text in an editable format.
