File Browser Very Slow Loading Image Thumbnails Over Network

Hi, I'm noticing that when I browse my images using CS's file browser over my network that it takes a long time to load my images (about 1000 of them) as thumbnails (either as small, medium, details format) It will say 'reading cache' for several minutes and then it will say 'getting directory file list' forever! When browse the exact same images using windows explorer..its ALOT faster! Is there a way to speed this up? I would like to browse my images using CS's browser but wont if it takes this long! Thanks for any help
