I am relatively proficient in computers but after this question one may not think so. I see that Photoshop allocates a certain amount of RAM for the use of the program. I have 512 MB with half of that allocated to the program. It has served my needs. Question: Is the RAM only allocated while the program is running or is it allocated all of the time?
