I made a signature for another forum, it includes over 3000 animation slides and all that good stuff. I saved it, and the only option to save it with was .psd. My problem is, that I need to flatten the layers to make it a different format, but then theres no animation. And when I save as optimized, its not how I want it to be. Please, post helpful suggestions here. |

What do you mean it's not how you want it to be? Saving as an optimized gif should be the way to go. _________________ Best Regards,

It kind of messes up the animation. I'm unsure of the problem really, it just seems a hugely lower quality then I want. When a have a scan bar on it and save it as optimized it turns the sig completely white when in passes over. 0.o? |

What settings do you have when saving optimized as gif? Are you using 256 colors? Is your dither set to 100%? |

If you could be a little more specific about how saving as a gif ‘kind of messes up the animation” you might get more specific advice. Does your animation have transparency? Gif has an abrupt transition to transparency. Choosing a correct matte color may help… if that is your problem. |

Do you know how to make a flash animation? It might be a little easier and the quality you want.
if you don't know how to use flash there are some great tutorials at www.flashkit.com.
If you don't have Flash MX go to www.macromedia.com. It's a 30 day trial, but thats enough time to make an animation. It also comes with all the features that a registered version has(well almost all).
