Is there a "border" option that I'm not finding? I just want to give an image a simple black border, but I haven't stumbled over an easy way to do this. I've tried using a pen or rectangle tool, but the pen is too time consuming and the rectangle fills in the whole image. |

Use a layer style as they are editible. Without Photoshop open, I think it's commonly found in the layers palette (the f in a black circle). - choose stroke. |

^ that will put a border on teh outside use inner glow and put choke to 100% |

Not necessarily. There is an option to set position of a Layer Style stroke to Inside. |
