I have a few questions about creating layouts using Photoshop & ImageReady.
First Question:
When I first begin to make a layout in Photoshop, what size should I use?
My screen res. size or something different?
Next Question:
After I have completed my layout (Which I have, but as I said above I'm having trouble with the size), I need to slice it in ImageReady, correct?
What is the correct way to do this? This is where I have the most trouble.
I have looked up several tutorials, but none of them seem to help me much. I guess I'm just not fully grasping the concept.
So, if anyone could refer me to a good tutorial (preferably a step-by-step with beginner's in mind) or have some advice or suggestions on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you're making a layout for a web site, try starting with 750px wide x 500px high at 72dpi. Those are the specs I use when working with web. As for slicing it up, I don't have nearly enough time to go through that. I think a lot of people here have experience in slicing images for the web though. _________________ Best Regards,

Yeah, I would generally stick to about 750, there are still people using 800x600 out there, so just to be safe .
As for slicing, the whole point of slicing is to cut the image up into manageable sizes. You need to cut up spaces, but be sure to leave things like the content box whole, and also make sure you cut 1 slice for each button.
I'm probably just confusing you more . I'm sure there are others out there who can explain this 100x better than me, especially with the expanding content boxes and all. Check out www.good-tutorials.com for some awesome tutorials. Or check out zymic.com, I believe they have a new tutorial out that is quite in depth . Actually, I'd check out the latter first, zymic has some extremely nice quality tutorials that are easy to follow. Best of luck. _________________ iVanced.com <- Get Your Own FREE, 100 Megabytes of Space!
