Just started using Cs, and noticed by accident that you can nest Layer sets within Layer sets.
How Cool is that!!!!
Is there a known limit of Layers you can have in a document ?
does this nesting sets within sets increase the limit # ( if there is any ) over 6 &/or 7 ( I dont think there was a change from 6 to 7 in Layer sets.)
Follow me ?
Like 5.5 there was a 100 layer max I believe and no Layer sets.
just wondering if anyone knows of a max #.

There's a layer limit of 8000 in Photoshop CS. I wouldn't recommend trying it though, my PS CS froze miserably... _________________ Best Regards,

Actually finally found some info on this.

A new image in Photoshop or ImageReady has a single layer. The number of additional layers, layer effects, and layer sets you can add to an image is limited only by your computer's memory. |

I found this extremely useful when I created a Family Tree for a client. I nested each family name into folder sets and could then turn those off that weren't being used
