I recently purchased an image and want to use it. My illustrator file (which contains only images as TIFFS) became huge and I was advised to reduce the image size in photoshop. I have taken the original image and tried scaling it down and each time, it appears pixelly, even if the dpi is set to 300.
here is what i have been doing
1. original image (jpeg) opened in photoshop
2. open new photoshop document. This document is 300 dpi and the size is the size i need it to be in illustrator
3. drag the image over to the new photoshop file.
4. Scale the image in the new file down to fit the new area.
5. Hey presto - one very pixelly image
WHY!!!!!! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!!!!
Please help. |

ok there is an easier way to reduse the image size..
heres what you need to do..
1. open your orignal image (whatever file format)
2. then go under Image Then to Image Size
3. a box will pop up and you just change the resolution
hope this works out _________________ http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i165/100_000/sigone.gif |
