The pen tool is by far one of my worst tools in photoshop. Soon I am going to bite the bullet and spend some time not sucking at it because it is embarassing compared to my competency with most other things.

Yeah, that shadow heh. Ew. But it is obviously just sort of a thing to show him what can be done with it.

Pen Tool works similar to Illy's. This site has some short QT videos on Pen Tool basics in AI. They can help out a lot using PS's Pen (or have for me, anyway.)
