Welcome to the PhotoshopForums.com Cash and Barter Market Place.
This is the place to buy and sell web and graphic design work for cash or barter. Bartering is when you are offering or looking for something that is not cash. Before you post in this forum, please ensure that you have read this thread in its entirety, so that you know what is appropriate and what isn’t.
Thread Starters
You may not post more than one thread for the same job or piece of work within 60 days. Please be as descriptive as possible in the initial post. If you are holding a contest here or selling/bartering something here, you must accept participation here. You can post listings at other sites, but please include all pertinent details in your post and don't tell members to go to another site where you are accepting entries, offers or bids. They should be able to post entries here or send them to you privately.
It can also be helpful to include your preferred method of contact, if you do not want people to post in the thread. You can ask them to PM you (please keep in mind that even if you have under 25 posts, you can still receive and reply to PMs), to e-mail you (provide an e-mail address or ask them to e-mail you through our site - make sure that you elect to display your e-mail as public in your profile) or to contact you through an instant messenger and so on. Due to the fact that you cannot initiate a PM conversation or send an e-mail through our forums until you have 25 posts, it is recommended that you at least offer an actual e-mail address in your post, if you want people to contact you privately, so as to allow members with less than 25 posts a definitive means of contacting you.
In the initial post, you must include details about the compensation that is being offered. This can be as open ended as you'd like and you are welcome to request offers. Similarly, if you are selling something, please include either the sale price or a minimum bid, if you have one in mind. If you don't, you are welcome to say best offer. You should not be offended by low offers. Please politely decline any offer that you do not wish to accept.
Examples of non cash compensation include: gift certificates, advertising, a link on your site, web hosting, a domain name, a product that you offer, etc. What you offer can affect the quality of the entries and the amount of attention that your listing receives.
Designers and Buyers/Barterers
Please read the thread starter's posts completely and make sure that you understand what they are looking for or what they are selling/bartering. Please follow their instructions for contacting them. If they say that they want to be contacted in a certain way, please contact them in that way or do not contact them at all.
Contact them in regard to what they are asking for help with or selling/bartering - do not send them vague, general advertisements for your services as if you didn't read their post at all - this will be regarded as advertising.
Please do not make uninvited remarks about the compensation or sale price that has been offered, if any. If you are not comfortable with the terms set forth, please do not contact them or participate in their thread. Do not harass anyone in regards to this. If the thread starter requests price suggestions or offers, you are welcome to make them, but you should not be offended by a price that you feel is too low. Please politely decline any offer that you do not wish to accept and do not get involved in bartering discussions between other members.
