Hi all,
I've had this persistent problem through CS2, 3 and 4 and it is driving me wild!
When I first view new images saved to the hd from my camera in Bridge all the thumbnails are low quality but the colours are perfect (they look the same as on the camera lcd). Bridge then begins generating finer thumbnails for each of the photos (the black border around each thumbnail disappears as the final thumbnail is created). In the new thumbnails that are created there is a dramatic colour shift of reds toward green that looks awful. This green shift is then present in the images when loaded in photoshop, and is only corrected by dragging the green channel down in an RGB curves layer. This issue affects both jpgs and RAW files. I have searched widely on forums for a solution but have not found anyone with a similar issue. Please help! I just want Photoshop to leave the colours as they appear in the first thumbnails so that they are the same as the camera lcd
Thanks for your time.

It sounds like a monitor profile issue. How is your monitor calibrated, if at all?
You say this problem has existed over several versions - have you had the same computer all that time?
Does the same problem exist when you view the images in "dumb" (non-colour-managed) programs like Windows Picture Viewer or Internet Explorer? Or only the Adobe programs? _________________ http://www.damiensymonds.com.au/
