Hello guys,

if you search ebay, you'll get a bunch of OEM PS 6 GEnuine, unregistered and upgradeable. Are these legal/legit copies? the seller has a 90% favorable feedback (speedshop-24).

I am setting up a small desktop publishing business and I want it to be LEGIT but at the same time, save money.

Please advise. We all know where to get full working versions of CS and CS2 from Warez and other pirates. I really want to have legal copies while not cutting my pinky off:)

I live in a poor country yet legal Photoshop here is far more expensive than in the US. It doesn't make sense.

Any help will be appreciated.

I live in a rich, ish country (the UK) and Photoshops dearer here than the US as well.
Before buying contact the seller and ask if they are the real deal, or back up copys (back up copys are only really if your disk got scratched or something, but you allready owned a legit version) also bear in mind PS6. is a few years old now (although it should still work ok) and the price should reflect that.
You might take a look at Adobe elements 3, which is supposed to be very good (and will do most of what CS will do) or another idea is Paint shop pro 9, claimed by some to be almost a rival for Photoshop.
Theres a free software called Gimp out there, which is also supposed to very similar to Photoshop, but as I havent tried it I couldn't say if thats true, it has a good reputation. Wayne

hello,

people like me want an old ps6 with the intention to upgrade it to cs2 for 150 usd:)

apparently, people have successfuly upgraded their copies using this ebay
purchase. I still want to know if this is legal or an oversight on adobe's part.

thanks
