Ever wanted one of those "poster" style prints of your own pic hanging on the wall? Well, here's how.

Open the pic of your choice and then select image/canvas size, select percent and add 25 to the short side and 20 to the long side (you want an even border all around at this stage, so these figures may vary). Click OK,
go back to image/canvas size and now tick the top middle box (so it only adds at the bottom of the image) and then add another 20%. You should now have a pic with even borders except at the bottom.

Click the text tool, pick your favorite font (I used Gil Sans MT here), click in the middle of the base bit, go to window/character palette and in the tracking field (the one with A-V) enter 600-800. Now add your name/studio name, etc.

Lower the opacity to about 50% on the type layer. Finally select/all and edit stroke with a thin black border and theres your poster style print just waiting to be printed out.
