Hey there! I'm running CS2 at the moment. I use the pen tool a LOT. For about a week now, the pen tool will randomly delete entire paths instead of just anchor points. I assume it's a setting somewhere that I'm accidentally hitting the key combo for, but damned if I can find it.

Example:

I have the pen tool (P) selected. I right-click the anchor point. Normally, if you were to hit the delete key right now, just the selected point gets deleted. However, if I hit it now....

The entire path gets deleted.

It resets back to normal after I reboot Photoshop. Anyone know what's going on??

When you right click does it give you option to just delete that anchor point still?

Other than the obvious, make sure you have the node selected and not the path or other nodes, I'm at a loss.

It's the old one for advice I'm afraid - trash your preference file. As you start Photoshop hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (keep them held as PS loads) it should give you the option to trash your pref file.

It's the Photoshop equivalent of 'have you tried turning it off and on again....' ;)
