So i recently started designing a logo for a small clothing line around my town and as I was working on the logo, I need to make the resolution sharper. The person I sent my logo to sent me an image back with a much higher quality letter compared to the one I made and I wanted to know how to do this and make a high quality logo for screen printing on t shirts. I use GIMP or Adobe PS CS5. Mostly GIMP however. This is what he sent me. You can clearly see the difference between his letter and mine.

Any help?

hi,
first... when doing logo's or icons.. you start out by making them bigger than what you need... it much easier to shrink and for them to look good than if you need to enlarge, which enlarging to much looks pixalated (just like that sample you sent) .... your frind possibly what he did was maybe enlarge and then cleaned up the O ...

check with the people who going to do the screen printing and see what formats they will accept....
if it bit map format again make it larger than you need and the outfit will reduce it down to the size for what the project calls for...

now if they will accept a vector format ... then you might want create your logo in vector instead of bitmap (gimp, ps, etc.... ) vector doesn't matter weather you enlarge or shrink it maintain the quality ..

now ifillustrator (very popular) not in your budget then take a look at inkscape.. it pretty good and free ..... it save in 3 or 4 vector formats but i think it only exports to png bitmap format..
