I like it a lot. It looks like a smudgy pencil sketch, which goes with the "open minded" idea. My only complaint is that I find that the text is a little too subdued. Maybe if you put it in a colour that contrasts with purple, like a pale yellow or light brown or even a bright green.
Other than that, it's fine as it is, but you might want to experiment with making the design itself more "open," to go with the name. One way to do that is to open up the boundaries of the picture. Obviously, on the web, images are always rectangular, but you could place it in the middle of a larger, blank canvas and have the colours and lines bleed out a bit into their surroundings. To make it look good against backgrounds other than white, you could do it as a GIF and use transparency.

Thank you for your wonderful suggestions and constructive critisism. It helps a lot. I see what you are talking about and I plan to make it a lil better. A lil more "open".
