When I move text around (Or anything) it seems to want to lock to edges and I can't get it where I want it... And ways to stop this?

View>Snap
Or on a Mac hold down Control key to temporarily deactivate Snap feature. Not sure of PC shortcut equivalent.

The Control key on a Mac keyboard functions (usually) to bring up a contextual menu, like right clicking on a two-button mouse.

PCs have an Apple key now? 'bout time...better late than never. ;)
