I opened a new document, went to try and follow a tutorial I got from pixel2life.com and the filters were "faded" and I couldn't use them. I know this is an easy fix for the right person but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, how come I can't use my filters? |

if your doc (or even new blank layer) has NO background (checkered), then there is no data for the program to alter. |

Make sure you're in 8bit/channel mode.(IMAGE-MODE) |
