I created this image for use on the cover of one of my senior papers. The tape peices and coffee stains are brushes by Scully (link to her stuff is on the actual Deviant art page..she seriously kicks brush butt)

I scanned in a torn peice of blank newspaper, then added the column lines and text, with some grunging, noise, tape and coffee brushes, and a drop shadow.

This peice was a lot of fun, but its more about the message than the actualy composision.
