Over the last few months I've been having fun with my new hobby -- photograph manipulation. Using Photoshop Elements (I'm not ready for the grownup version), I'm getting better at the paste-one-model's-face- onto-another-model's-body kind of project. Now I'm ready for something new.

I want to be able to combine two or more faces into a blended "new" person.

I am NOTinterested in animation or creating a morphing sequence to show the transition from A to B. I am NOT interested in a final product that does not look like a real photograph of a real person.

If there's a tutorial or a book that will help me learn how to do this, I'm
interested. If there's a program that I can purchase for under $100 (okay,
$200), and if it's idiot-friendly [and I AM your friendly idiot], that's an even more desirable option. Are there any suggestions?

Try this place.

You can download photoshop cheap, and own it. There are some other sites out there like this, where you download stuff and then u burn it to a cd(s) of your own. If it doesn't work, don't kill the messanger (me!). Hope this helps.

Thank you Mr. Almighty,
Does this mean that with one of the "full" versions of photoshop, I will be able to produce a blended, composite face? Will I get natural results--features line up, etc? Is it relatively easy to use? Which version will best suit my purposes?

LOL @ Mr. Almighty! Thanx! Big Grin

As far as I can tell from reading on that website, it's the full version, as I don't see anywhere that says it's a upgrade or anything of that sort. Of course, you should check into it. Also, check into the company, try to find a review site that tells about the company, so that way you can feel confident when you make your purchase. A little searching on the internet will help you with that.

As far as what version you need, that version will work fine for what you are attempting to do. Also, it's the most current version, so as you become more proficient with CS2, you'll still have "room to grow" with the program, as it's a great program and allows you to do a massive amount of different things with it, including photo manipulation of all sorts and web/graphics design.
