Hi,
One of my two monitors has packed in so I'm looking for a decent 21.5" Monitor. I live in Tenerife so there's not as much choice here. I've tried 3 different monitors and they all have back lighting which seems to wash out the colours. I have the Spyder 2 calibration tool which works fine with my main BenQ monitor but seemingly if I want to get a back lit monitor then I would have to upgrade to Spyder 4 pro at a cost of 150Eu.
What monitor would you recommend?

regards,

Dave

My advice. Don't stress about gamut and the like, just concentrate on getting a sRGB monitor. My link is to the monitor I bought a year ago for my friend. AOC sRGB monitor I'm sure you can find an alternative within your budget and if you save a few euros, then you can put it towards a Colour Monki or a Spyder ;)

Thanks for your replies Hermit,
Just one more question as I'm not conversant with displays/monitors, the worst LED monitors I've tried all had back lighting, when the screen was on but not active the screen was light grey whereas my current LED monitor reverts to black screen, are all LED sRGB monitors free of back lighting?

Regards,

Dave
