I am hoping someone on this board can help me out. I'm not into photography but my girlfriend is. I want to make her a present using a picture that she has made of us, but there is a problem. I had to crop the picture which ruins an effect that goes around the edge of the picture. I'm hoping someone here will be able to recognize what effect this is so that I can reproduce it. She made it while first starting to use photoshop, so I'm guessing that it's a simple, strait forward tool she used.

Any help would be great.

it looks to me like a couple of things were done.
first the in layer styles use the bevel/emboss selection and play with the settings. the highlight and shadow should probably both be set on normal and white.
then from the preset actions pallete use the ''sepia toning layer'' command.
i should say that í use CS and i don't recall if the sepia action is on 7.0.
if it's not, there are other ways of getting that look.
there could also have been some brightness adjustment or blur filter used.
hope this helps.
