My printer is asking me for a high res vector art and/or eps file. I tried saving as eps but the 6X4", 300dpi image is over 13mb. The graphic is not too complicated, so I'm not sure why the file is so large.
I sent them a pdf but they had a problem with the text and asked me to convert it to curves.
I am a newbie and have no idea what they are talking about. Can someone help me? |

Hi there,
thehermit is right, you need to convert to outlines so that when you make a .pdf your printer will not have a font problem. Cause you may have used a special font which was not embaded in the .pdf and that's why your printer had a problem cause they didn't have the font..
Covert your text to outlines in illustrator, and things will be fine..

If you don't have Illustrator, then go to where your fonts are stored on your computer and copy the font into the folder where your art is. Just click once on it to highlight, copy, and paste it into your folder. It's called "packing the font", or "suitcasing". Most print services will accept this as not everybody has Illustrator. _________________ Jeff
